What admission documents do I need to submit?

The documents required in an application depend on the program an applicant has applied to as well as their educational background. You can review the Undergraduate Admissions website to determine which documents you'll need to provide. Certain programs may require additional supporting documents (such as personal statements or letters of reference).  All applicants are required to submit proof of English proficiency.

Graduate applicants can refer to the Future Graduate Students website for more information on required supporting documents to be included in the application, which include transcripts and letters of reference/recommendation. Visit your program page for detailed information on additional program-specific documents (e.g., statement of purpose/personal statement, writing sample, application for assistantship, C.V.).

Qui est mon conseiller pédagogique?

Les étudiants de certains diplômes et programmes se voient attribuer un conseiller pédagogique précis dans leur faculté ou leur programme; il y a des diplômes et des programmes où ce n’est pas le cas.

Vous pouvez en savoir davantage sur les types de conseillers en visitant le site Web de conseillance pédagogique.  L’Annuaire des conseillers est une bonne ressource pour vous aider à trouver votre (vos) conseiller(s) pédagogique(s) et à communiquer avec lui (eux).

Si on vous a attribué un conseiller précis d’une faculté ou d’un programme, le nom de votre conseiller apparaît en haut de votre relevé de notes non officiel dans Minerva (sous le menu Dossiers des étudiants).

Si vous n’êtes pas inscrit à un diplôme ou un programme avec conseillers désignés, vous pouvez rencontrer l’un des conseillers pédagogiques de votre faculté ou programme.

English Language Requirements

All undergraduate applicants must provide proof of English proficiency. Only official test results sent from the testing center will be considered. IELTS and TOEFL results must be sent to McGill electronically from the testing center.
 
With the exception of language courses, the language of instruction for most courses at McGill University is English; however, you may make arrangements to write term papers, examinations and theses in English or in French. While French is not a requirement, there are many opportunities for students to learn French while studying at McGill. Students are also permitted to submit any coursework in French.
